I have created a moodboard for the genre we are doing which is HORROR. As you can see the iconography displays the colours that are used, this is dark colours which signify the tone and atmosphere the genre represents. Through the use of the dark harsh colours this emphasises the nature of the genre which is conventionally depicted as disruption that is caused. Low level lighting is very often used in horror films to create a creepy mysterious atmosphere, as darkness is usually associated with evil. Darkness also makes people feel more vulnerable and threatened as they are unable to see as much and people fear the unseen and unknown.
